Pick your movie of the week: Westerns! (May 16-19/16)

May 13-19-16

Gotta love a good western, and I love all three of these. Which one should be our movie of the week?

The Searchers (1956)
A Civil War veteran embarks on a journey to rescue his niece from an Indian tribe.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly (1966)
A bounty hunting scam joins two men in an uneasy alliance against a third in a race to find a fortune in gold buried in a remote cemetery.

Django Unchained (2012)
With the help of a German bounty hunter, a freed slave sets out to rescue his wife from a brutal Mississippi plantation owner.

  1. Petrina says:

Good Bad and Ugly because Clint Eastwood would kick John Wayne Butt!

  2. Mama C says:

Oh Petrina, Clint Eastwood could never kick John Wayne’s butt, maybe out draw him but never beat him!!!! Having said that I have to pick Good Bad and Ugly because it is the only one I have seen. Now Troy, if you had picked Rio Bravo instead of the Searchers there would be no contest.

  3. Jamie says:

No contest…only one guy is the toughest western actor, Mr. Eastwood.

Tuco: There are two kinds of people in the world, my friend: Those with a rope around the neck, and the people who have the job of doing the cutting.

  4. Mama C says:

Okay Pilgrim ‘Fess up now! You all know John Wayne can out swagger Eastwood any day of the week!

  5. Petrina says:

    Out swagger or out stagger?
