July 8-14-16It was hard to come down to just 3 directors, but here are some outstanding movies made by some outstanding directors. Which one should be our movie of the week?

Lost in Translation (2003, Sofia Coppola)

The Hurt Locker (2008, Kathryn Bigelow)

A League of Their Own (1992, Penny Marshall)

  1. A League of Their Own. Love, love, love that movie. “Are you crying??? There’s no crying in baseball. THERE’S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL!!!”

  2. A League of Their Own. 🙂

  3. Kirk Perry says:

The best movie here is probably Lost in Translation but only one of these directors had the foresight to cast Jon Lovitz in a role. So my vote is for League of their Own. (I still chuckle at the pickle tickle line when I think of it)

  4. Jamie says:

    there’s no crying in baseball!

  5. Mama C says:

I think I had better pick “A league of Their Own” as it is the only one I have seen but “Lost in Translation” looks like a REALLY good movie.
